SYNOPSIS / Editorial Review about - The Glorious Team Batista [DTS] |
DVD release of the hit film adaptation of award-winning mystery novel "Team Batista no Eiko" featuring English subtitles. Tojo University Hospital employs the prestigous "Team Batista," a staff of surgeons with a success rate for heart transplants far exceeding the norm of 60%, including 26 consecutive successes. However, one day that team goes on a slump with three consecutive deaths on the operating table. Were they accidents? Were they murders? The hospital chief entrusts a doctor named Taguchi with a dangerous task, to investigate the staff in a medical world she's completely unfamiliar with. Naturally, things don't work out so well, and she plans to give her supervisor the final decsion that "these were accidents, there isn't a problem with the team" when one of the reviewers of her final draft states "I'm moved by your report.
